XPERT-S!

What is EXPERT-S?

Well, here's what we said before the first event on April 30:

Hear and meet 6-12 entrepreneurs who will inform you about their current projects in Panama and elsewhere at the monthly (last Wednesday of the month) XPERT Seminar buffet. Speakers will give short, five-minute overviews of their projects. After these thumbnail presentation, the speakers will make themselves available to answer your questions over a delicious Chinese dim sum buffet. This leisurely meal won't just be a great time to discuss the projects; it will also be a wonderful opportunity to socialize and network.

All well and good, then we had the event. What we quickly learned from the attendees—an amazing collection of really interesting people—was that expertise, encompassed a lot more than just new entrepreneurial projects. Expats and Panamanians represent a vast repository of knowledge about all sorts of interesting things. What we want to do is tap into that storehouse of information and share it with you.

So here is what we are going to do. If you are an entrepreneur we still want your contribution. You will still be the core of what XPERT-S is all about. However, if you are knowledgeable in an area you think others would find interesting, we want you too. Maybe you know where the best surfing is in Panama, maybe you know how to rebind old books or maybe you are a member of a community group that does good works. Whatever it is, chances are other people with less knowledge but strong interest will want to come to an XPERT-S event and speak with you. (Over delicious dim sum, of course.)

So here's the new deal.

If you would like to make a non-commercial general interest presentation, contact us. If we think it's of XPERT-S interest, you will be given a speaking slot to make a 5-minute presentation and attendees will have the opportunity to speak with you during the buffet. (The speaking slot is free, but you'll still have to pay for the dim sum buffet.)

If you want to present a 5-minute commercial presentation at an upcoming XPERT-S event, contact us and reserve a speaking slot. We value our attendees' time, so we will charge a nominal podium fee. We want to limit access to serious presents, only. The fee is only $33, and it includes the dim sum buffet.

We think this variety of presentations will provide the benefits of a commercial seminar with the benefits of a mix and mingle social event and a delicious dining experience. Who could ask for anything more?
